welovecruiseships.com and Coleman-Heald Presentations offer this fantastic DVD of the final transatlantic crossing of QE2 in tandem with QM2 in October 2008 from New York to Southampton.

A rousing farewell was given from the Big Apple as the legendary liner set sail for the 3415 mile voyage to England. All of the horns and whistles are here as we had a perfect view from the observation deck of Queen Mary 2.

We follow her throughout the crossing as each morning the ships would change positions so that everyone could wake up to the sight of the Queen Elizabeth 2 outside of their cabin window.

Some timeless sequences have been captured of Queen Elizabeth 2 at sea portraying the graceful lines that she is so renowned for.

Queen Elizabeth 2 and Queen Mary 2 closed to within one third of a mile for a farewell salute and a celebration of why this ship was so loved by all who travelled on her.

This had been put together by someone who has a passion for ships and liners and evidence of my work can be seen on throughout this website.
